Former BluWood employees could be recalled as Stella Jones plans to double its capacity at the former lumber facility in Shelburne.
Council has given Stella Jones the approval to move ahead on its three-phase expansion plan.
The plan includes building a distribution centre at the Main Street site and hiring back former employees of BluWood who were laid off during acquisition.
The first phase is paving the site, which is expected to be completed before asphalt plants close for the winter.
Phase two is building a storm water sewer collection system and rainwater retention pond.
The distribution centre would be phase three.
