It’s back to school time and Wellington-Dufferin Student Transportation Services has first-time bus riders covered.
Last week, WDSTS held the First Riders Program, where parents brought their children to ride the bus for the first time, posed questions to bus operators and watched a video on school bus safety.
CAO, David Fryer says parents should walk their kids to the bus stop so that they could get accustomed to navigating the path on their own.
Fryer also advises parents to come up with a plan B in case of delays, such as taking shelter at a neighbour’s home.
