Bryon Mackie has announced that BigTyme Fitness and Boxing has been closed indefinitely.
Mackie took to Facebook on Thursday (July 4) to make the announcement.
“It is a very sad week🥊 I have had to close the doors at BigTyme fitness in definitely after 18 years in business Jodi and I would like to thank everyone 🥊22 national Champions and thousands of satisfied members it’s time to hang up the gloves 🥊 I love everybody for all their help they’ve ever given me and the dedication of all my friends family and members🥊🥊🥊🥊 BigTyme Fitness 1986-2019 Bryon Mackie🥊🥊”
The recreation facility on Commerce Drive in Orangeville offered a full boxing gym and fitness programs for youth and adults.
BigTyme was also the training facility for many amateur and pro boxers.
Since the announcement hundreds of current and former members, including boxers, have shared their memories of the facility.
