The Milton Menace finished off their long road stretch with a good win over St. Michaels.
It’s been nearly three weeks since the Menace competed at their home rink. Since then, the team has carried a 3-1-1-0 record over five games played.
On Sunday, November 1st, the Menace went into the St. Michaels College Arena to battle the Buzzers. St. Mikes took control of the game early, carrying a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
In the second period, the Buzzers jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Milton bounced back late in the frame, with Dean Deligeorgis and Chris Soares scoring two swift goals to tie the game.
Cam Lang would give the Menace a brief lead in the third period, but St. Michaels would have some late game heroics to send it overtime.
With the man advantage, Rilan Swain would clinch the win. Milton beat St. Michaels 4-3 in overtime.
To the surprise of no one, Austin McKillop was in net for the Menace. He has started every game of the regular season for the Menace so far. He stopped 23 of 26 shots, giving him the .884% save percentage and the victory.
The Menace return home on Friday, November 6th. They host the Toronto Patriots at the Milton Memorial Arena, with the game set to start at 7:30 p.m.
