A pair of Miltonians made a surprise appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ this week.
While Gord Krantz and Zainab Azim did not appear in-person, a video of the two aired on the late-night show on Tuesday, October 27th. It was an ad of the two calling for a fair and civil election period. The video itself blew up during the lead up to the municipal election, receiving more than 67,000 likes on Azim’s Instagram page.
Kimmel showed it to his audience, comparing the difference between American and Canadian elections. He admired the wholesomeness, while also joking that both lost in the mayoral race on Monday night.
George Minakakis defeated both Krantz and Azim in the 2026 Municipal & School Board Election. Milton will have a new mayor for the first time since December 1980, as Krantz had served in the position for 46 years.
