Today, Active Lives Canada participants, families, staff and members of the Shelburne community will gather at Fiddle Park for a day dedicated to learning, reflection, inclusion and the message that Every Child Matters.
Held in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Fiddle Park in Shelburne.
Throughout the day, Active Lives Canada participants will take part in accessible activities focused on learning, land, water, community and reconciliation, alongside games, art, nature-based activities and opportunities for reflection.
A central moment of the day will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., when participants and community members will gather with representatives from the Town of Shelburne for the Every Child Matters Peace Garden Ceremony and flag raising.
