OPP took advantage of the beautiful weather over the past week by getting out into the community on bicycle patrol.
Bicycle patrols provide officers with an opportunity to engage with community members while patrolling areas that may be difficult to access by vehicle. The bikes allow officers to patrol both downtown areas and the wooded paths and trails found throughout many parts of Dufferin County.
Officers will be utilizing bicycle patrols throughout the fall, weather permitting. Community members enjoying local trails and paths may see Dufferin OPP officers riding through the area as part of their regular patrol duties.
If you happen to see one of our officers out on the trails, don’t be surprised; they may simply be making their way through the community while keeping an eye out and connecting with residents.
