Dufferin OPP has charged two individuals with theft-related offences following an investigation at a local grocery store.
On September 22nd, at about 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to a grocery store on Ojibway Road in Shelburne regarding a theft in progress.
Police were advised that two individuals had pushed a loaded grocery cart out of the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.
Officers located two individuals walking in the area of Highway 89 and the Mulmur-Melancthon Townline, carrying multiple bags.
As a result of the investigation a 39-year-old male from Orangeville and a 31-year-old female from Shelburne have been charged.
