This Saturday from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m the Youth in Police Initiative (YIPI) students along with local officers from Dufferin OPP are running a community school supply drive in partnership with the Salvation Army.
Dufferin OPP is asking community members who are able and willing to donate school supplies to please bring items to Walmart at 95 First Street in Orangeville and Giant Tiger at 226 First Avenue East in Shelburne.
Suggested donations include:
· Backpacks
· Pencil cases
· Pencils
· Crayons
· Glue sticks
· Notebooks
· Markers
· Erasers
· Any other essential school supplies a child may need
Anyone wishing to donate can find the drop-off zone at the front entrance of each participating store. They recommend parking in the designated store parking lots, as this will be the easiest way to locate the team and donation area.
