Dufferin OPP has charged multiple individuals with impaired driving-related offences following separate traffic investigations conducted over the Victoria Day long weekend.
On May 16th at approximately midnight, officers were dispatched to the area of County Road 23 and Porterfield Road in Orangeville for a single vehicle collision after a vehicle struck a road sign and entered the ditch. While speaking with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old female from Erin,was charged with
· Operation while impaired
On May 17th, at approximately 1:30a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Robert Street in Shelburne for the reports of a possible impaired driver. Police were able to locate the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old male from Dundalk, has been charged with
· Operation while impaired
On May 17 at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Highway 10 in Mono.
As a result of an investigation, a 21-year-old female from Orangeville, has been charged with:
· Operation while impaired
The accused individuals are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to the charges.
In addition, the individuals’ driver’s licences were suspended, and the vehicles were impounded.
