Caledon’s newest fire station will enhance emergency response in south Caledon and the growing Mayfield West area! Here are some highlights of the new Station 310:
Sustainability – This fire station is designed as a low-carbon building. It has energy-efficient features like a rooftop solar system, electric heating, and LED lighting.
Safety – The building is intentionally designed to separate contaminated operational areas from living and administrative spaces. It also has a specialized ventilation system to limit exposure to harmful substances and carcinogens.
Service Excellence – The station will employ 20 full-time firefighters and features three bays for different types of emergency vehicles. More firefighters in this area means crews can respond to emergencies faster and handle more calls at the same time.Caledon Fire recently marked 100 years of organized firefighting, and Station 310 represents the next chapter in building operational readiness for the future!
