A Special Weather Statement has been issued for the area:
“A few more rounds of showers and embedded thunderstorms are possible through the day. Portions of the region have received significant rainfall amounts over the last few days. As a result, any further rainfall could have significant impacts. Rainfall warnings may be issued for some regions.
“Rainfall amounts will likely be highly variable across the region.
“Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Don’t drive through flooded roadways. Avoid low-lying areas.”
A Fog Advisory is also in place for this morning.
