Dufferin OPP has charged two men in connection with a porch pirate package theft from an address in Orangeville.
On April 4th at about 5:00 p.m., Dufferin OPP responded to a report of a theft involving a package that had been delivered to a residence on Second Avenue Orangeville.
Two men attended the residence and took the package but they were captured on video. Officers arrived on scene and were provided with footage showing the suspects taking the package without the owner’s consent.
On April 14th, Dufferin OPP responded to a call for service regarding an unwanted individual at a restaurant on First Street. On arrival, officers recognized the individuals as the same suspects involved in the ongoing theft investigation.
As a result, a 34-year-old male from Orangeville, has been charged with:
- Theft Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
And a 23-year-old male of no fixed address has been charged with:
- Theft Under $5000
