Police are renewing their request for public assistance with a newly installed billboard as a homicide investigation in Caledon continues.
On Monday, April 1, 2024, members of the Caledon OPP responded to a report of a deceased individual in the area of Chinguacousy Road and King Street .
On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, a post-mortem examination was conducted, which determined the death was the result of a homicide. The deceased was identified as 65-year-old David ROBSON, who was reported missing from the Township of Melancthon on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
The deceased’s vehicle has never been located. It is described as a 2017 black Kia Sportage, with Ontario licence plate DAMZ 252. Investigators are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the vehicle to contact police to support the ongoing investigation.
A billboard with the victim’s photo and vehicle information has been installed on County Road 9 facing southwest at County Road 11, just west of Orangeville. Photos of the billboard and vehicle are attached to this release.
Members of the Dufferin OPP Crime Unit are continuing this investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch , in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
