International Women’s Day is taking place on Sunday, March 8th.
This year’s theme is Give to Gain, which “encourages a mindset of generosity and collaboration.”
Locally, Family Transition Place (FTP) usually holds an annual gettogether. Director of Development and Community Engagement with FTP, Brennan Solecky, tells us that they’re switching things up a bit this year.
The goal behind the event is to celebrate and recognize not just women, but local women. Solecky notes the actual beauty of celebrating women is being able to celebrate those in attendance.

It’s scheduled for Thursday, March 5th, from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Hockley Valley Resort in Mono.
