Dufferin OPP has executed a search warrant at a residence in Amaranth, resulting in the arrest of an individual believed to be responsible for five separate break and enter investigations, along with related fraud investigations.
From December 2025 into early this month, Dufferin OPP investigated break and enter and fraud incidents in and around Shelburne. Members of the Dufferin OPP Community Street Crime Unit, in collaboration with uniform officers, initially identified and arrested the individual in connection with two of the break and enter incidents. Further investigation linked the same individual to the remaining incidents.
On January 10th, members of the CSCU executed the warrant at the Amaranth residence and arrested the individual believed to be responsible for all five incidents.
As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old male from Amaranth, has been charged with six offences.
