A suspicious house fire in Burlington is now being investigated by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).
On Friday, January 9th, at roughly 3:00 a.m., emergency services responded to a a large fire at a residence on Clearview Avenue. The home was found fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews worked quickly to contain the fire; however, the fire did cause damage to one neighbouring residence before being brought under control.
The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
Police have determined the fire to be suspicious in nature and investigators are working alongside fire officials to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are also requesting that anyone who may have dash-cam, doorbell, or other surveillance footage from the area of Clearview Avenue between 2:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. review their recordings and contact investigators.
