Caledon OPP has recently concluded the annual RIDE campaign, as well as a weekend traffic blitz, focusing on distracted driving.
Between November 20th, 2025, and New Years Day, Caledon OPP officers conducted over 100 RIDE checkpoints, resulting in 27 charges.
From January 2nd to January 4th, Caledon OPP held a traffic enforcement blitz to kick-off the new year. Although the primary focus of the blitz was directed toward distracted driving, officers also enforced road safety laws pertaining to improper seat belt use, aggressive driving, impaired driving, and more! Throughout the weekend, officers laid a total of 219 charges and issued four 7-day driver’s licence suspensions to motorists who registered a blood alcohol concentration within the Warn Range.
