The Town of Erin is updating its Comprehensive Zoning By-law and the process will simplify land use planning in the Town with the aim of fostering development that is compatible with the current character of the community. The Town retained WSP to assist in reviewing and updating Erin’s Comprehensive Zoning By-law. A Zoning By-law is a legal document prepared in accordance under the requirements of Section 34 of the Planning Act. It implements the Town’s Official Plan policies by providing standards for how a property may be developed. WSP has released a Background Discussion Paper outlining their initial findings that will guide the creation of an updated Comprehensive Zoning By-law in Erin.
