Heads up if you own a 2020 to 2025 Ford Escape. More than 20,000 of the SUVs are affected by a recall.
The hinge covers for the liftgate may not have been properly attached on some vehicles and could loosen and detach from the vehicle.
The recall, which was last updated December 4th said that parts could detach from the vehicle and could create a hazard and increase the risk of a crash.
The automaker will notify owners by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to inspect and secure or replace the liftgate hinge covers, as necessary.
