The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, in partnership with the Salvation Army New Hope Community Church, will launch the 2025 Toys for Tots campaign on November 29, outside the Orangeville Walmart.
Officers will be on site collecting new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items, and gift cards to support local families in need this holiday season. All donations will stay within Dufferin County and be distributed through the Salvation Army.
The campaign runs from November 29 to December 14th. Donations can be made outside Walmart, at 95 First Street in Orangeville, on
• Saturdays: from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• and Sundays: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Community members can also drop off new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items at:
· The Salvation Army New Hope Community Church – 690 Riddell Road
· The Salvation Army Thrift Store – 162 Broadway
· Orangeville Town Hall – 87 Broadway
· Dufferin OPP Detachment – 390 C Line, Orangeville
· Dufferin OPP Detachment – 506312 Highway 89, Mono
The 2024 Toys for Tots campaign was an incredible success thanks to the generosity of the Dufferin County community. The Salvation Army New Hope Community Church was able to assist nearly 400 families, providing both food and toys for the holidays.
· 270 families received Christmas food hampers
· 389 families received toys
· Over 4,000 toys were distributed to children across Dufferin County
