A Bolton business owner has been charged with fraud, following an investigation in Wellington North Township.
On June 21st, 2024, the Wellington County OPP Crime Unit received a report of fraud at a quarry business in Wellington North Township. The accused entered into an agreement with the business to excavate and sell materials from the property. In return, the business would receive royalties. However, throughout 2023 and 2024, it is alleged that several truckloads of material were unaccounted for, and the corresponding royalties were not received. The business lost more than $40,000.
As a result of the investigation, a 64-year-old male from Bolton, has been charged with

2 counts of fraud over $5,000
Two individuals have been arrested and one is wanted in connection with a 2020 attempted murder in Vaughan and a 2021 homicide in Bolton.
