Caledon has secured millions in provincial funding for a critical road project that will facilitate the development of thousands of new homes and improve access for the Valleywood community.
The town is slated to receive $15.2 million from Ontario’s Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program. According to an Oct. 22 news release from the town, the project involves reconfiguring the current Highway 410 access to Hurontario Street, including three new ramps and a new four-lane arterial road at Tim Manley Avenue and Valleywood.
This infrastructure is designed to provide “safer and faster access” to the existing Valleywood community and enable the development of nearly 12,000 new homes in Mayfield West.
