The slump continues for the Milton Menace.
On Wednesday, October 29th, the team drove to Buffalo to take on the Jr. Sabres at the Lecom Harborcenter. It was their first trip to Buffalo since the OJHL Governor’s Showcase in September.
The Sabres were first on the board, opening the scoring seven minutes into the game. It was a short-lived lead, with Tristan Tremble burying his 5th of the year, assisted by Josh Currie, just 36 seconds later. Buffalo would eventually retake the lead before the end of the period, making it 2-1 Sabres at the first intermission.
In the second period, the Sabres added to their lead with a pair of goals to make it a 4-1 game after 40 minutes of action.
Milton would captalize on the man advantage in the third period, as Ashtyn Pacheco’s 8th of the year, assisted by Ivan Fabjan, brought the Menace within two. They’d then get a goal from Easton Lynds with six seconds to go in the game, but it was obviously too little too late. Buffalo beat the Menace 4-3.
Carter Froggett was the netminder for Milton. He stopped 26 of 30 shots for the .866% save percentage.
They now return home on Friday, October 31st for a Halloween match-up against the Mississauga Chargers. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
