The Town of Halton Hills has completed another successful façade improvement project in downtown Georgetown through its Community Improvement Plan (CIP).
On Wednesday, October 15th, Ward 3 Councillors Ron Norris and Chantal Garneau joined Town Economic Development staff to present a $12,045.74 grant cheque to Accountants on Main in support of property revitalization efforts. The upgrades included mural wall and masonry repairs, new office entryway flooring, and front window restoration, preserving the building’s heritage while enhancing its visual appeal.
“The improvements at Accountants on Main showcase how our Community Improvement Plan directly supports local businesses in creating attractive, welcoming storefronts,” says Halton Hills Mayor Ann Lawlor. “I’m pleased that the heritage aspects of the building are being maintained and that the striking mural has remained as a vibrant piece in our downtown.”
The Community Improvement Plan provides grants and loans to encourage revitalization and private investment, supporting the town’s goals of economic growth, heritage preservation, and main street renewal.
In August, Georgetown plant store FOLIAGE received a similar investment. Read more here.
Accountants on Main is located at 52 Main Street South in Georgetown.
