OPP say one of their officers had to shoot a dog that bit one child and tried to attack another in Dundalk.
On Wednesday morning, at around 8:30 a.m., someone reported an unrestrained dog on Russell Street.
An officer was also bitten while trying to control the aggressive dog.
“In the interest of public safety, police shot the dog and “The dog was later euthanized.”
Police said the victims received medical treatment and their injuries were considered minor.
OPP urge the public to avoid aggressive or dangerous animals and report them to authorities as soon as possible.
