The Town of Caledon is developing a Site Alteration By-law. This by-law aims to regulate the placement and removal of vegetation, topsoil, fill and/or grading or drainage alterations on private lands. It outlines requirements for studies, permits, public notice, enforcement and compliance under other federal or provincial or regulatory agencies. It serves to mitigate the impact or public nuisances resulting from site alterations onto other private or Town owned lands. The Site Alteration By-law will repeal and replace the Town‘s Current Fill Bylaw 2007-059.
Community members are invited to an Open House to learn more about the proposed Site Alteration Bylaw and ask questions and provide comments to project team members.
The Open House is tonight ( Monday, September 29th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Caledon East Community Complex, Hall A and B (6215 Old Church Road, Caledon).
