A Georgetown man is the latest local lottery winner!
Arthur Maahs is $250,000 richer after winning a top prize with Instant Diamond Dollars.
The 65-year-old says this is his first big win after playing the lottery for years.
“I bought this ticket, played it, and revealed a big win. Then I spent about 10 minutes sitting in my car, triple- and quadruple-checking it,” he recalled with a laugh, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “It was a fantastic feeling!”
Maahs immediately picked up the phone and called his wife to share the wonderful news. They now plan on completing some home renovations and buying a new vehicle.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Steeles Avenue East in Brampton.
