The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is advising residents about training exercises taking place in Burlington this afternoon.
Between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., they’ll be conducting exercises involving small amounts of explosives in the area of Northshore Boulevard East and King Road. Police say residents may hear minor blasts and notice a police presence, but there is no risk to public safety.
Traffic in the area will not be affected, and the training is expected to be completed within the scheduled time frame.
