Know the Rules Before You Ride! Whether you’re on an e-bike, moped, or motor scooter, Ontario law has clear rules to keep you safe. For E-Bikes: • No licence or insurance are needed • The bike must have pedals • the Max speed: 32 km/h • a helmet is required and its not allowed on highways or sidewalks. For Mopeds & Motor Scooters: •A Licence, registration & insurance required • you Must follow motor vehicle rules • they are not allowed on controlled-access highways
