Headwaters Health Care Centre is celebrating a big milestone—over 200 Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter procedures done at the hospital since the program began in 2023.
The procedure is used to deliver medications, nutrients, or fluids directly into the bloodstream, often for patients needing long-term treatment like antibiotics or chemotherapy.
Nurses Terry MacDonald and Sara Charnley have led the way, improving patient satisfaction and saving money for the health care system.
