The town would like to remind residents that stormwater ponds help protect our community from flooding, and are not safe for play.
The banks can be slippery, water levels can change quickly, and wildlife like snapping turtles and geese may also act aggressively if approached.
The town is asking residents to stay back from the edge and keep children and pets close when walking near the ponds.
