The Town of Milton is moving forward with essential maintenance at three of its stormwater management facilities: Ponds 2, 4, and 8.
This project is designed to remove accumulated sediment and restore minor deficiencies, ensuring long-term functionality and environmental protection.
Enhancements include sediment removal, concrete repairs to inlet and outlet structures, site grading adjustments, and the removal of excess vegetation. These efforts are crucial to maintaining proper water flow, quality control, and protecting downstream ecosystems like 16 Mile Creek.
Work will take place at the following locations:
- Pond #2 – 1051 Fourth Line
- Pond #4 – 1015 Trudeau Drive
- Pond #8 – 140 Livingston Road
While full road closures are not expected, temporary lane closures and occasional pathway restrictions may occur to allow equipment access and ensure public safety. Updates on closures will be available through the Town’s interactive road closure map.
The work is beginning this month, and is scheduled to run through December.
