Today is Camp Day at Tim Hortons – and your coffee can make a difference.
Every hot and iced coffee sold on Wednesday, July 16th at Tim Hortons locations across Canada and the U.S. will support Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, with 100% of proceeds donated to help underserved youth reach their full potential. Since 1991, more than $262 million has been raised through Camp Day, including $12.8 million in 2024 alone.
“For over 30 years, coffee sold on Camp Day has helped support the mission of Tim Hortons Foundation Camps,” says Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons. “The Foundation has supported over 325,000 youth in its history… I encourage everyone to join us today and purchase a hot or iced coffee to help make an impact.”
Beyond coffee, guests can support the cause by:
- Buying a Camp Day donut for $2
- Purchasing a $2 Donation Badge or $3 Camp Day bracelet
- Ordering a Take 12 – a box of 12 small coffees to share with coworkers, family, or friends
- Rounding up their order in the Tim Hortons app or in-store
- Donating online
“Camp Day is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” says Caroline Barham, President of the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps board. “With every coffee poured, we’re helping youth discover their potential and build brighter futures.”
Camp Day began in 1987 when 58 Tims owners in Atlantic Canada donated a day’s worth of sales to a children’s camp in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. It became a national campaign in 1991 – and today, it’s a grassroots movement fueled by generosity, community spirit, and a love for coffee.
As Tims Camps alumni Mary-Jane Miller puts it, “If I hadn’t attended camp, I definitely believe that I would be a different person. Because of Tims Camps I am a confident individual who has an amazing community supporting me throughout my life.”
So whether you’re grabbing your usual order or treating your office, today’s coffee helps build a better tomorrow.
