The OPP were out in full force around Canada Day this year, ensuring safety remained a top priority on roads, trails, and waterways.
Between June 27th and July 6th, OPP officers laid 1,935 charges across the province related to improper or missing safety equipment.
1,773 seatbelt violations
121 lifejacket (PFD) infractions
41 helmet-related charges
The OPP is thanking everyone who did their part to celebrate Canada Day responsibly by buckling up, strapping on helmets, and wearing lifejackets.
