It’s Pollinator Week and since becoming a designated Bee City in 2020, Orangeville has been committed to protecting creatures that support 75% of our crops.
These vital pollinators are struggling with habitat loss.
Here’s how you can make a difference:
• Grow a mix of native plants that bloom from spring through fall to provide food and shelter for pollinators.
• Leave bare soil and plant debris in your garden—many bees nest in the ground or in leaves and stems.
• Avoid using insecticides.
