Copper thefts are on the rise in Dufferin County.
Earlier this month, suspects cut down utility poles near County Road 21 and 4th Line in Mulmur Township, stealing a total of nearly 450 meters of copper wire.
The estimated value of the stolen copper and the damage caused is around $180,000.
Dufferin OPP are asking residents to report any suspicious activity.
