Main Street in Alton from Highpoint Sideroad to Richardson Court will be closed for rehabilitation from Monday, May 20th to Tues, September 30th. The road will be repaved, including paved shoulders in suitable areas, and new guiderail installation for hazardous and sensitive roadside areas. A single lane will be open at all times for local traffic only.
Access for Emergency Services, Student Transportation Services, Waste Collection, and Postal Services will be maintained at all times. Road reconstruction notification signs will be installed and maintained throughout the project.
