The Milton Public Library is holding a mental health-oriented fair this weekend and local teens are invited!
It’s called the ‘Second Youth Mental Health Fair’ and it’s a chance for Milton teens to connect, create, and care for their mental health. The event is open to youth aged 11 to 17 and offers a welcoming space to meet others and learn about local mental health resources.
Community organizations like Canadian Mental Health Association Halton (CMHA), Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK), Her Kahaani, and more will be on site with free info and support. Plus, there’ll be some special four-legged guests – emotional support pups from St. John Ambulance!
Attendees can relax with fun, hands-on activities including friendship bracelets, button making, DIY stress balls, and woven bookmarks. Free workshops will also be offered by Her Kahaani, Lighthouse for Grieving Children, and SAVIS, with chances to win prizes throughout the day.
Know a teen who could use a safe and fun afternoon? Spread the word – #YouthMentalHealth is worth celebrating.
Find it on Saturday, May 10th, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Sherwood library branch, located at 6355 Main Street.
