Dufferin OPP have charged two drivers with impaired operation related offences, within a half-hour of each other.
On May 6th around midnight, officers were conducting a RIDE spot check in both Grand Valley and Orangeville.
Just before midnight in Grand Valley a driver entered a RIDE at the corner of Water and William Street and after speaking with the driver, police charged a 30-year-old from Erin was charged with cannabis readily available, ana open container of liquor and a prohibited device or ammunition. Two firearms were seized.
In Orangeville, just after midnight, a RIDE spot check was held on Second Avenue. A 25-year-old from Orangeville has been charged with impaired.
Both accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville to answer to the charges.
