The Town of Milton has expanded its Administrative Penalties System (APS).
In 2022, the Town launched the APS process to help move parking by-law infraction reviews from the Provincial Offences Court to the Town’s system. Through Milton’s APS process, recipients of penalty notices work with the Town’s in-house screening and hearing officers to settle a range of by-law disputes.
As of this week, the process will now include enforcement of select penalty notices and requests for review through by-law 064-2024. It allows those who receive a parking ticket or certain non-parking by-law penalty notices to dispute or request a review of the administrative penalty or screening decision through a more streamlined and local process.
