The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for an unknown woman following a theft from a local grocery store.
On Wednesday, January 8th, at roughly 9:40 p.m., a female suspect entered the Real Canadian Superstore at 201 Oak Walk Drive in Oakville. She added a number of items to her cart before making her way to the seafood section of the store. She proceeded to conceal more than $300 worth of crab meat in a blue container.
The suspect then attended the self-checkout area where she paid for some of the items in her cart but made no attempt to pay for the crab meat. Upon being stopped by security, the suspect discarded the concealed items and fled the store.
The HRPS describe the suspect as:
- Female
- 5’5″ tall
- wearing a pink scarf, blue jacket, grey pants, and black shoes with white soles
A similar theft happened in Georgetown.
