The holiday season is underway, and United Way Halton & Hamilton (UWHH) is providing a Helping Hand.
In September, UWHH announced their annual fundraising campaign goal of $12.5 million. That money will immediately impact the community.
Last year’s campaign managed to raise $12.5 million, so United Way Halton & Hamilton believes they can match that success again. The money went to good used as well, as United Way supported over 220,568 individuals and families through 117 different programs across Burlington, Halton Hills, Hamilton, Milton, and Oakville last year. These programs provided essential services, ranging from food security and mental health support to youth mentorship and shelter services.
Back again this year is the Holiday Helping Hand program. UWHH Vice President, Marketing & Communications Kristen Jacob breaks down what’s included with the program.

At the time of the interview (held earlier this week), there were over 150 families across Halton & Hamilton who are a part of our adopt-a-family that do not have support yet.
