Dufferin County’s rich cultural history will be highlighted at the Orangeville Public Library this August.
Wendy Vincent, a Cultural Curator and PR Specialist, will speak on Migrant Stories, including the experiences of Dufferin resident Lloyd Lindo.
Known as “Uncle Lloyd,” Lindo was a Jamaican British migrant from the Windrush Generation who moved from Toronto to Amaranth.
His story, featured in the exhibit, spans three continents and several decades.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, August 8th, at 7 p.m. at the Mill Street Library. Registration is required.
