The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Detachment of the OPP has charged two individuals in relation to recovered stolen vehicles.
On February 27th, shortly after 10:00 a.m.,
officers recovered two stolen vehicles on Highway 401 in South Glengarry Township.
As a result, two individuals were arrested and charged.
The 2024 F-150 Dodge Ram and 2022 Ford Bronco were stolen from the Greater Toronto Area.
A 31-year-old from Orangeville, was charged with:
- Dangerous operation
- Flight from peace officer
- Failure to comply with release order
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Obstruct a Peace Officer
- Mischief – destroys or damages property
- Operation while prohibited
- Driving while under suspension
- Use of an unauthorized plate
- Mischief – interfere with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment, or operation of property-over $5000.
A 31-year-old from Caledon, was charged with:
- Dangerous operation
- Flight from peace officer
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Mischief – obstructs, interrupts, or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment, or operation of property
- Mischief – destroys or damages property
- Driving while under suspension
- Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code – three counts.
- Failure to comply with release order – two counts.
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order – three counts.
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine
Both are scheduled to appear in Court at a later date.
