
Caledon OPP have charged a driver with multiple offences after being involved in two collisions.
On December 28th at approximately 8:00 p.m.,
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on McLaughlin Road, near Forks of the Credit Road.
During the interaction with the driver, grounds were formed that their ability to operate a vehicle was impaired and was arrested.
Additional information was later received that the vehicle was also involved in a failed to remain collision on Highway 10, near Olde Base Line Road.
As a result, A 37 year-old male from Georgetown, was charged with:
• Operation while impaired – alcohol
• Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Dangerous operation
• Fail to remain
• Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville later this month to answer to the charges.
