Dufferin OPP attended a serious collision involving a vehicle and horse and buggy in Melancthon Friday night.
The incident happened shortly after 7:00 p.m. on County Road 9 at 2nd Line.
The driver of the buggy was a 21-year-old male from Melancthon, he was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre where he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
The male driver of the sedan fled the scene, however officers located him a short time later.
The investigation is ongoing, charges will be reported at a later date.
