Between December 1st and March 31st,
Parking is prohibited from 2 a.m. until 7 a.m. daily on highways and streets within the Town, and on municipal property and parking lots, unless otherwise posted.
Why is street parking prevented in the winter?
Vehicles parked on the road prevent plows from doing their jobs. Often, plowing occurs overnight to prepare for the next day, and parked cars mean many streets cannot be finished.
Did you know?
Parking regulations do not just apply at nighttime – if it has snowed recently or is snowing heavily and your street has not been plowed, do not park on the street. If plows cannot get by, you could be ticketed.
The Town of Orangeville has four locations to park your vehicles overnight – Fendley Park, Rotary Park, and the Municipal lots behind 168-178 Broadway and behind 82-90 Broadway, and 180 Broadway. Be sure to follow the signage posted to ensure you do not get ticketed!
You may use the end of your driveway to park an additional vehicle. Make sure to park correctly to avoid getting ticketed!
