The Town of Orangeville is looking to the public to help come up with a witty name for a new piece of snow removal equipment.
The Town recently acquired a state of the art snowplow and the community is invited to submit their ideas for of a fitting name.
Mayor Lisa Post, says “many municipalities have held similar contests over the years…”
Now it’s Orangeville’s turn.
Names for plows in other municipalities include, The Big Leplowski, Edgar Allan Snow, Sled Zeppelin and yes… Plowie McPlow Plow. (probably not the best moniker)
The new plow is the first of its kind in Orangeville, featuring a heated windshield to combat ice buildup on wipers and double-wrapped hydraulic lines to combat wear.
The deadline is September 30.
