Shots were fired in downtown Oakville on Friday night, and the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating.
On Friday, July 21st, at roughly 11:55 p.m., police were called to the area of Lakeshore Road East and Reynolds Street in Oakville after multiple reports of at least one gunshot being fired.
A victim was outside of a restaurant in the area when he was approached by a suspect and an altercation took place. At least one shot was fired by the suspect. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The suspect fled eastbound on Lakeshore Road in a dark coloured SUV. HRPS describe the suspect as:
- black
- male
- in his 20s
No arrests have been made.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have dash cam footage of the areas of Lakeshore Road (east and westbound) and Trafalgar Road (north and south) between the hours of 11:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. (Friday, July 21st – Saturday, July 22nd) to contact them.
